Being the initial post of this blog, we thought it would be nice to keep the Howard community abreast of the do's and don'ts of this upcoming Homecoming celebration. Here are a few rules and guidelines on how to carry one's self throughout the week. Follow and keep them holy.
1. Thou shall not wear your Rainbow club dress the morn of Yardfest.
2. Let not your flesh be your guiding light whilst at the Step Show; lean not on your own understanding.
3. Diddy not receiving a degree notwithstanding, thou shall not expect for him to respond to the "HU! You know!" call.
4. Hark! The Homecoming Gospel Concert is not the time to be fully repentant for the actions from the previous days.
5. Thou shall not take the Road to Redemption in hopes of VIP access to the game.
6. Thou shall not succumb to the germane actions of your peers if their acts contradict to what your parents instilled in you.
7. Thou SHAN'T order your steps in a way that will lead and/or compel you to even THINK about wearing kittens.
8. Hark! A lacefront is not a substitute for not doing your hair, for the aforementioned is bereft of edges.
9. Thou may dwell not in the football player's room of your privy, for his friendship with you isn't contingent on your entrance to the Kingdom.
10. One must stay abreast of the Homecoming schedule and events. Thou shan't be left behind.
11. Hark! A pineapple must be purchased upon one's arrival to campus.
12. The drought season is nigh. One must be equipped and ready, for the thirst is in its natural state...matter.
13. Whichever traveling medium thou shall use to get to Howard, thou must stray away from Georgia Ave.
14. Betray not thy neighbor for pieces of silver just to purchase Homecoming weaves, outfits, etc. The possible tragedies are immense.
15. Unless it's a pregnant Virgin and her husband, one shouldn't extend their visitation rights to those that are IN the world, for what has been set by Him can't and won't be corrupted by secular means.
